Janice Whitlow

Janice Whitlow, 84, of Savannah, passed away on Friday, May 31. She was born on Dec. 25, 1939, in Somerville, Tennessee, to the late Aulton F. and Evelyn Keller Graham.
On June 15, 1968, she was united in marriage to Wheeler Milton Whitlow, who preceded her in death on April 11, 2017.
Janice was a home economics teacher for the Hardin County School System for 30 plus years. Teaching was her life and she loved her students. After retirement she did volunteer work and led exercise classes at Riverwick Assisted Living and Hardin County Senior Center. She was a member of the Tennessee Education Association and Olivet Cumberland Presbyterian Church, where she was the youth leader and taught Sunday School. Janice loved to sew, read, play cards with her friends, and travel.
She is survived by her sister, Linda Miller (Bobby) of Somerville, Tennessee; nieces and nephews, Mimi Kelley, Steven Miller, Michael Miller, David Cagle, Sharon Counce, Steve Cagle, Jocey Fisher, Dennis Seaton, Randy Seaton, Nicky Seaton, and Greg Seaton; and numerous great-nieces and great-nephews.
Memorial services were held on Friday, June 3, at Olivet Cumberland Presbyterian Church in Savannah, with Mitch Boulton officiating. Burial followed at Mt. Hermon Cemetery in Savannah.
