Jeff “Boatdock” White was born July 24, 1968 in Memphis, the son of the late George Jerry and Tera Jean Bratton White.

Jeff was a shop foreman for more than 10 years with Jackie Hamm Volunteer Bridge. He was a member of New Life Pentecostal Church in Nixon.

Jeff loved going hunting and fishing and drag racing with his buddies.  He always had something to talk about. He loved his family deeply, especially his “grand babies,” and loved gathering them all together to grill or fry food, or any other activity giving him an excuse to spend time with them.

Jeff departed this life on Wednesday, March 20, in Savannah, at the age of 50 years, 7 months, 24 days.

He is survived by two daughters, Donna Jean White of Savannah and Rebecca Melson of Rienzi, Mississippi; two sons, Jeffery Steven White Jr. and wife April of Savannah, Dustin Tyler White and fiancée Brittany Murphy of Stantonville; stepdaughter, Ali Nicole Rich and husband Dakota of Savannah; four grandchildren, Annaleah Grace White, Leeland James Rich, Tera Kay White and Macson Melson.

In addition to his parents, Jeff was preceded in death by his grandparents, Leonard Haley Bratton, Bernice Lucille Seaton, Oscar White and Lillian White.

Services were held on Tuesday, March 26, at 3 p.m., at Shackelford Funeral Directors of Savannah with Darrell Moffett and Keith Holloway officiating. Burial followed in Neill Cemetery at Savannah.
