Jim Polk, 67, of Savannah, died on Monday, Feb. 22. 
He was born in Hardin County, the son of the late Holly Farris and Reba Nell English Polk. He was united in marriage to Nancy Stephens, who survives.
Mr. Polk served his country honorably for 22 years in the military, first in the Air Force during the Vietnam War and then later enlisting in the Army National Guard from which he retired.  He was a member of  Cornerstone Baptist Church.
In addition to his wife, Nancy Polk of Savannah, he is survived by his children, John Farris Polk of Memphis, Christopher Ryan Polk of Franklin, Tennessee, Chuck Linam and Lori White, both of Savannah; five grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and a brother, Robert Farris Polk of Nashville.
Services were held on Thursday, Feb. 25, at Shackelford Chapel in Savannah with Paul Weaver and Paul Childers officiating. Burial followed in  Memory Gardens at Savannah.
