Jo Ann Butler

Jo Ann Butler, of Sardis, was born in Alcorn County, Miss., on March 8, 1942, the daughter of the late Lawrence and Estelle Blakley Morrow.

On Jan. 2, 1963, she was united in marriage to James Earl "Jimmy" Butler, who survives.

Mrs. Butler was a factory worker where she did quality control. She was a member of Church of God of Prophecy in Adamsville. She enjoyed gardening, canning, fishing and camping. Mrs. Butler grew up in Corinth, Miss., and lived in Hardin County for six years.

She departed this life on Friday, Nov. 12, in Savannah, at the age of 68 years, 8 months and 4 days.

In addition to her husband James "Jimmy" Butler of Sardis, she is survived by one son, James "Timmy" Butler of Sardis; and a special daughter, Glenda Anderson of Adamsville; one grandchild, Darien D. Butler; five sisters, Hazel Burress, Mary Clark, Patty Parker, Jill Haney and Becky Dodson, all of Corinth, Miss.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Butler was also preceded in death by three brothers, Johnny, Bobby and Hershel Morrow.

Services were held on Tuesday, Nov. 16, at 1 p.m., at Church of God of Prophecy in Adamsville with Alvin Jones officiating.
