Jo Ann Garrison, 77, of Stantonville, died on Saturday, Oct. 27, in Stantonville.

She was born in McNairy County, the daughter of the late James Ancil and Roberta Smith Ferguson. She was united in marriage to Clyde Garrison, who survives.

Mrs. Garrison worked for Garan Manufacturing for 42 years. She was a member of Sulphur Springs United Methodist Church. She was very active in her church and served as church secretary for 46 years. She was a member of West Tennessee DayLily Society, where she received numerous ribbons and crystal glassware for her prize winning lilies.

In addition to her husband Clyde Garrison of Stantonville, she is survived by a daughter, Michelle Garrison Williams of Hernando, Mississippi; a grandson; a sister, Lisa Ferguson Lipford; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by sisters, Deborah Ferguson, Patricia King, Shirley King; brother, O’Neal Ferguson; and a niece.

Services were held on Tuesday, Oct. 30, at Shackelford Funeral Directors in Selmer with Roger South and Kenny Lamberth officiating. Burial followed in Mt. Vinson Cemetery at Stantonville.
