Jo Ann Seaton was born in Gadsden, Ala. on Aug. 2, 1938, the daughter of the late V. T. and Ruth Fox Phillips. On October 14, 1956 she was united in marriage to Billy F. Seaton, who survives.

Mrs. Seaton was a secretary for 18 years for the First United Methodist Church in Savannah where she also was a member. Mrs. Seaton enjoyed cooking, reading and she had a vast love for all animals. Most of all she loved spending time with her grandchildren.

Mrs. Seaton departed this life on Monday, Dec. 23, in Savannah at the age of 75 years, 4 months and 21 days.

In addition to her husband Billy of 57 years, she is survived by her children, Paul Seaton and wife, Peggy, of Counce and Dana Seaton of Madison; two grandchildren, Molly Seaton and Paul Daniel Seaton; a sister, Kathy Hinton of Mt. Juliet, Tenn. and a brother, Tommy Phillips of Savannah.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Linda DeBerry. Services were held on Friday, Dec. 27 in Savannah with Ron Brown officiating. Burial followed at Savannah Cemetery in Savannah.
