JoAnn Jacobson

JoAnn Sutton Jacobson, 75, of Savannah, died Thursday, May 23, at the Nacogdoches Memorial Hospital in Nacogdoches, Texas.

She the daughter of the late Otis Eldon and Agnes Ethelbra Copeland Shelby in Cerro Gordo. She was united in marriage to Elmer Oscar Jacobson, who survives.

Mrs. Jacobson worked for Aqua Glass Corporation in manufacturing.

Services were held on Wednesday, May 29, with Artie Rivers officiating. Burial followed in the New Harmony Cemetery.

In addition to her husband Jake, she is survived by three sons, Michael Welch, Richard Welch of Hemet, Calif., and Ted Welch of Lufkin, Texas; a sister, Joyce Morris of Hartsville, Tenn.; and a brother, Herbert Shelby of Savannah; six grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by two brothers, Clinton and Jack Shelby.
