John Zeis (10-26-13) service 10-29-13

John Zeis, age 70, of Rogersville, Ala., died on Saturday, Oct. 26, at E.C.M. Hospital in Florence, Ala. He was born in Greencastle, Pa., the son of the late John Zeis Sr. and Louise Walck Zeis. He was united in marriage to Sue Zeis of Rogersville, Ala. who survives.

Mr. Zeis served his country honorably in the U.S. Air Force. He was owner and accountant for H & R Block and a member of Faith Church in Florence, Ala.

Services were held on Tuesday, Oct. 29, at Neal Funeral Home in Lawrenceburg, Tenn. with Jewel Travis officiating. Interment followed at Pleasant Grove Cemetery in Lawrence County, Tenn.

In addition to his wife Sue Zeis of Rogersville, Ala., he is survived by four daughters, Debbie Buie of Leoma, Tenn., Janine Zeis Doss of Rogersville, Ala., Sheena Zeis of Nashville and Alexis Zeis, Rogersville, Ala.; son, Teddy Zeis of Rogersville, Ala.; five grandchildren; one great-grandson and one brother, Steve Zeis of Pennsylvania;

In addition to his parents, John Zeis, Sr. and Louise Walck Zeis he was preceded in death by one son, Chip Zeis.
