Josie Carroll Morris, 68, of Adamsville, died on Wednesday, Jan. 20, in Corinth, Mississippi. She was born in Hardin County, the daughter of the late Aaron Harris and Grace Pearl Anditon Carroll. She was united in marriage to Bobby Gene Morris, who preceded her in death. Mrs. Morris worked as a caregiver for many. She was of Baptist belief. She is survived by her children, Monica Morris of Shiloh and Jason Morris of Adamsville; six grandchildren; sisters, Linda Ard of Tupelo, Mississippi, Ann Williams of Booneville, Mississippi, and Stella Ray of Spring City, Tennessee; brothers, Wayne Carroll of Shiloh and Neil Carroll of Fort Townsend, Oklahoma. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by one brother, Melvin Carroll; and four sisters, Myra Byrd, Janette Patterson, Judy Gober and Alma Crowley. Services were held on Sunday, Jan. 24, at Shackelford Funeral Directors of Savannah with Dwain Ard and Frank Williams officiating. Burial followed in Pisgah Cemetery at Shiloh.
