Joyce Legans (9-12-10) services 9-15-10

Joyce Legans, 62, of Morris Chapel, died Sunday, Sept. 12.

She was born in Wayne County, the daughter of the late John Riley and Ethel Mae Smith Pipes.

Ms. Legans had worked for Parris Manufacturing Company in the parts department, and had also worked for Joe Gray’s Bar-B-Q.

Services were held on Wednesday, Sept. 15, at Shackelford Chapel in Savannah with J. P. Gillis officiating. Burial was in the Milledgeville Cemetery.

She is survived by two sons, Jerry L. and Earl Ray Legans, both of Morris Chapel; four grandchildren; a brother, Leamon Pipes. She was also survived by her former spouse, Billy G. Legans of Morris Chapel.

She was also preceded in death by a son, Franklin Troy Legans; three sisters, Josephine Franks, Lilly Mae Franks and Icie Price; three brothers, William, Robert, and Joseph Pipes.
