Karin Bonilla (9-25-13) service 10-6-13

Karin Fornoff (Thurman) Bonilla, 65, of Mobile, Ala. departed this life on Wednesday Sept. 25, 2013 with her loving family at her side at Providence Hospital in Mobile, Ala. She was born in Traisa, Germany, on May 20, 1948, the daughter of Margarete Fornoff and the late Johann Fornoff of Germany.

Surviving family are her husband, Richard Bonilla of Mobile, Ala.; children, Leslie Fornoff of Ft Smith, Ark., Kirk (Shannon)  Thurman and Tiffany (Brad) Jones, all of Savannah; her mother, Margarete Fornoff and brother, Rainer (Rita) Fornoff, both of Germany; five grandchildren, Matthew and Brett Fornoff, both of Mobile, Ala. and Shelton, Alexis and Gracie Thurman all of Savannah.

In addition to her father, Johann Fornoff she was also proceded in death by one brother, Dieter Fornoff, both of Germany. Karin as employed at The Bank of Waynesboro in the early 70’s and later worked at The Brown Shoe Company in Savannah before she finally moved to Mobile, Ala. and went to work for Degussa Chemical Company as an executive secretary.

There will be a celebration of life visitation on Sunday, Oct. 6, from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. at East End United Methodist Church in Savannah.
