Larry Ickler

Larry Dean Ickler, 77, of Pickwick, died Thursday, Nov. 24, in Savannah.

He was born in Craton, Neb., the son of the late John and Lillian Hart Ickler.

On Aug. 10, 1991, he was united in marriage to Treasia Diana Skelton, who survives.

Mr. Ickler was self-employed in the trucking industry in independent yacht transfer. He had previously worked for Borden’s Bread and Milk Company, was a cattle farmer and had owned a restaurant.

In addition to his wife Diana Ickler of Pickwick, he is survived by two daughters, Debra Thorkeson of Minnesota and Jessica Franks of Savannah; three sons, Jim Ickler of Minnesota, Bill Ickler of Conneticutt, and Robert Ickler of Florida; one sister, Ruby Walton of Nebraska; one brother, Alfred Ickler of California; eight grandchildren and threegreat-grandchildren.

He was also preceded in death by two brothers, John and David Ickler.

Memorial services will be held on Thursday, Dec.1, at 3 p.m., at First Baptist Church in Savannah with Michael Roach officiating. Burial will follow in the Antioch Cemetery at Burnsville, Miss.
