Laura Browder

Laura M. Browder of Counce was born in Alcorn County, Miss. on May 14, 1914, the daughter of the late George and Etta Whitted.

On Dec. 3, 1932, she was united in marriage to Lacie Browder, who preceded his wife in death on Oct. 26, 1959.

Mrs. Browder was a homemaker. She was a member of Crump First Pentecostal Church. Mrs. Browder enjoyed crocheting and she was a good cook and seamstress. Mrs Browder was devoted to her family.

She departed this life on Feb. 22, at the Hardin Medical Center at the age of 95 years, 9 months and 8 days.

Mrs. Browder is survived by one son, Billy Browder and his wife Kim of El Paso, Texas; three daughters, Dorothy Ganus of Crump, Wilma Webb of Clarksville, Tenn. and Gayle Cherry and husband Jim of Counce; 11 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren and 11 great-great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was also preceded in death by one brother, Howard Whitted; two son-in-laws, Bobby Ganus and Travis (Bo) Webb; one grandchild and two great-grandchildren.

Services were held on Wednesday, Feb. 24, at 11 a.m., at Crump United Pentecostal Church in Crump with Gene Hanna officiating. Burial followed in the Shiloh Methodist Church Cemetery at Shiloh.
