Lela Hortense Cooley Davis Dudley, 93, of Dyersburg, passed away on Tuesday, July 30, at The Bridge at Ridgely.Â
She retired  from GTE Sylvania, and was a member of Springhill Baptist Church.
Services were held on Friday, Aug. 2, at 3 p.m.  in the chapel of Dyersburg Funeral Home with  Jack Henry and Terry Lynch officiating. Burial  followed  in Dyer County Memorial Gardens.Â
Survivors include her two daughters, Beverly McCulloch of Newbern and Sharon Davis of Savannah; a step-son, Donald Dudley of Dyersburg; four grandchildren; two step-grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; seven step-great-grandchildren; and eight great-great-grandchildren.Â
She was preceded in death by her husbands, Hugh Davis and Richard Dudley; her parents, John and Lela Goff Cooley; a son, Bobby Wayne Davis; three sisters; three brothers; and a grandson-in-law.Â
The family requests that memorials be directed to the Alzheimer’s Association, Dyer County Cancer Fund or to the American Heart Association
