Leon Easley, 80, of Savannah, passed away on Sunday, Nov. 12. He was born in Hardin County, on Aug. 17, 1943, the son of the late Edwin Louie and Hester Pearl Allison Easley.

In 1969 he was united in marriage to Mackie Helen Wilkerson, who preceded her husband in death on Nov. 4, 2022.

Leon worked with several construction companies and owned multiple businesses over the years. He served his country proudly in the U.S. National Guard and was a member of the Masonic Lodge. In his spare time he enjoyed trading, buying, selling and refurbishing tractors. Leon had a great sense of humor and he always took care of his friends and family.

Leon is survived by a host of nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by his son, Joel Michael Easley; sisters, Nita Fay Ferrell, Ruth Cook, Barbara Brown and Edwyna Lewis; and brothers, Billy, Louie, Ronnie, Doyle and Scottie Easley.

A graveside service was held on Thursday, Nov. 16, at Memory Gardens in Savannah, with Charles Linam officiating.
