Lila Cornelius (4-1-10) services 4-5-10

Lila Cornelius, 86, of Savannah, died Thursday, April 1, in Savannah.

She was born in Marshall County, Miss., the daughter of the late William and Mary Owens Roach. She was united in marriage to David Cornelius, who preceded her in death.

Mrs. Cornelius was a homemaker, and was Baptist in belief.

Services were held on Monday, April 5, at Shackelford Chapel in Savannah with Keith Smith officiating. Burial was in the Memory Gardens at Savannah.

She is survived by two daughters, Betty Leonard of Savannah and Mary Riley of Olive Branch, Miss.; four sons, Dean Leonard of Jacksonville, Fla., Rickey Spencer of Savannah, John Spencer of Selmer and Victor Cornelius of Savannah; two stepdaughters, Yvonne Horton of Savannah and Regina Carter of Jackson, Tenn.; 12 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Fay Tomlin and Tanda Roach, both of Como, Miss.; one brother, Anthony Roach of Como, Miss.

She was also preceded in death by two sisters and four brothers.
