Lorene Stricklin Franks, 94, of Savannah, died on Friday, Nov. 20.

She was born in Hardin County, the daughter of the late William Ledford Stricklin and Flora Angeline Franks Stricklin. She was united in marriage to Finis Franks, who preceded her in death.

Mrs. Franks lived in Hardin County all of her life.

She is survived by her sons, Howard Franks, Larry Franks and Browny Franks, all of Savannah; daughters, Sandra McCarter of Knoxville, Patsy Belle of Knoxville and Connie Franks of Ogilvie, Minnesota; 12 grandchildren; and 26 great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Mairlou Franks Frederick; infant children, Lucy Ann Franks, David H. Franks, Robert Earl Franks, and Baby Boy Franks; sisters, Inez Stricklin, Pearl Hughes, Gladys Robbins, Polly Franks, Margaret Stricklin and Betty Jean Stricklin; and brothers, Billy Stricklin, Jhon Henry Stricklin, Bobby Joe Stricklin, O.C. Stricklin and George Stricklin.

A graveside service was held on Tuesday, Nov. 24, at Franks Family Cemetery in Savannah with Daniel Holt officiating.
