Lorine Murphy Mary "Lorine" Murphy, 69, of Olive Hill community, died Sunday, Feb. 6, at Vanderbilt University Medical Center. She was the daughter of the late Floyd and Elizabeth Grimes Brown. She was united in marriage to J.C. Murphy of Olive Hill, who survives. Mrs. Murphy was employed at Clifton Manufacturing for more than 35 years. She was of the Baptist faith. Services were held Wednesday, Feb. 9, at Shady Grove Freewill Baptist Church with Jimmy Middleton officiating. Burial was in the Murphy family cemetery. In addition to her husband, J.C. of Olive Hill, she is survived by a son, James Murphy of Olive Hill; two daughters, Jennifer Murphy of Olive Hill and Diane Hicks of Savannah; 11 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; a brother, Clyde Brown of Olive Hill; and a sister, Wanda Brewer of Savannah.
