Louise Ganster was born in Adamsville, on April 30, 1930 the daughter of the late Henry Alexander and Katie Allison Landreth. In 1971 she was united in marriage to Bernard “Barney” Ganster, who survives.

Mrs. Ganster was a retired waitress and a homemaker who enjoyed cooking, baking and caring for her two dogs, Curley and Buster. She was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church where she was a member of the Mary Makers of St. Mary’s and was a member of the Culinary Union of Las Vegas.

She departed this life on Thursday, Sept. 26, in Adamsville, at the age of 83 years, 4 months and 27 days.

In addition to her husband Barney of Adamsville, she is also survived by one sister, Kay Noles.

She was also preceded in death by two brothers, Jap and Frank Landreth and four sisters, Mary Moore, Mattie Taylor, Dorothy Harville and Peggy Learue.

Memorials may be given to the American Cancer Society, 2006 Wayne Road, Savannah, Tenn. 38372 or St. Mary’s Catholic Church, 2315 Pickwick Street, Savannah, Tenn. 38372. Services were held on Monday, Sept. 30, at 11 a.m. at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Savannah with Francis Chiawa officiating. Burial followed at the Mars Hill Cemetery in Adamsville.
