Mable McClain Jennings, 85, of Savannah, died Friday, Oct. 10.
She was the daughter of the late Charlie Wilbur and Alta Mae Smith McClain. She was united in marriage to the late Davis “Pete” H. Jennings, who preceded her in death.
She was a homemaker.
She is survived by one daughter, Glenda Jennings Cummins of Savannah; one son, David Ray Jennings of Savannah; three sisters, Frankie Young and Lois Hudgens, both of Savannah and Robbie Hanback of Mishawaka, Indiana; one brother, Larry McClain of Savannah; two grandchildren; two step-grandchildren; and two stepgreat-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents and husband, Mrs. Jennings is preceded in death by two sisters, Dorothy Godwin and Wilma Austin; and two brothers, Harvey Joe McClain and Douglas McClain.
Services were held on Sunday, Oct. 12, at Shackelford Chapel in Savannah with Duwayne Pounds officiating. Burial followed in Shady Hill Cemetery at Savannah.
