Marie Erwin

Marie Erwin departed this life on Thursday, May 9, at the age of 86 years, 3 months, 7 days.

She was born Feb. 2, 1927, the daughter of the late Robert Tillman and Faudie Jewel Sipes Ratliff. Marie had worked for Kay Windsor Garment Factory, and had been a member of the V.F.W. Ladies Auxiliary and the Lebanon Methodist Church.

Marie is survived by her husband, Ray "Cully" Erwin; daughter, Brenda Erwin Cunningham and husband Bobby; son, Max L. Erwin and wife Ginger; grandchildren, Lacey Marie Erwin and Will Erwin; brother, Brownie Ratliff; sisters, Mattie Sue Thomas, Junell White and Frankie Johnson.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sisters, Jewel Hughes, Ouida Mae Love Cockrell and Maxine Brooks.

Services were held on Saturday, May 11, at 11 a.m. at Shackelford Chapel in Savannah with Phil Bridges, Mike Moore officiating. Burial followed in the Taylor Cemetery at Hardin County.
