Mary McKenzie (1-21-19) service 1-25-19

Mary McKenzie, age 91, of Waxahachie, Texas, passed away Monday, Jan. 21, at the Ennis Care Center.

She was born Dec. 7, 1927, in Braggadocio, Missouri, to Harry and Dora Brown Thompson.  Mary loved working in the yard, she was an avid reader and an excellent cook. She loved her family dearly and will be greatly missed.

Survivors include one son, Eddie Milam; three daughters, Donna Light and husband Dudley, Shelia McKenzie and Billie McKenzie; grandchildren, Chris, Kenny, Sherry, Paul, Michael, Sandra, Jason, Amy and Andrea; great-grandchildren, Desirae, Brandon, Nicholas, Austin, McKenzie and Payson; one sister, Margarete Ann Armstrong; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Mary was preceded in death by her husband of 65 years, William McKenzie; one daughter, Sandra Deere; and sister, Corine Beard.

Graveside service and interment was held on Friday, Jan. 25, at Oak Grove Cemetery in Irving, Texas with Pastor Brian Treadway officiating.
