Mattie Aillen Franks Pearson, 90, of Savannah, died on Monday, July 22, at Hardin Home in Savannah. She was united in marriage to Hershel Horace Franks who preceded her in death and Oval Pearson who also preceded her in death.

Mrs. Pearson was a homemaker and a member of People’s Tabernacle Church.

Services were held on Thursday, July, 25 at Nixon First Pentecostal Church with Danny Briley officiating. Burial followed in Wesley’s Chapel Cemetery in Savannah.

She is survived by nine sons, Jerry Franks of Counce, Carl Franks of Adamsville, David Franks of Savannah, Donnie Franks of Nashville, Ronnie Franks of Savannah, Michael Franks of Niles, Mi., Ricky, Rex and James Franks, all of Savannah; three daughters, Emma Franks of Lawrenceburg, Tenn., Jean Oldham of Savannah and Barbara Lard of Waynesboro, Tenn.; 40 grandchildren; 94 great-grandchildren; 23 greatgreat-grandchildren and her sister, Earline Sanderson of Halls, Tenn.

In addition to her husbands she was preceded in death by, her son, Daniel Franks; daughter, Debbie Lance; brothers, Buford, Cowboy, Marvin and Monroe Lay and her sister Lula Henson.
