Miley Higgins Jr., 82, died Monday, July 21.
He was born in Hardin County, the son of the late Miley Higgins Sr. and Elsie Shook Ingle.
Mr. Higgins retired as a teacher and coach from Bartlett High School in the Shelby County School System. He served in the United States Navy from 1952-1955.
Mr. Higgins is survived by a sister, Mary Sue Ingle Davis of Lakeland, Tenn.; and a brother, Terry Ingle of Bolivar, Tenn.
A graveside service was held on Wednesday, July 23, at Memory Gardens in Savannah with Steve Nielsen officiating.
