Norma Jean Carter (2-12-16) service 2-16-16

Norman Jean Carter, of Saltillo, was born in Walnut, Mississippi on July 6, 1942, the daughter of the late Jim and Hattie Vinson Garrett.
On Dec. 30, 1961, she was united in marriage to Jerry Neal Carter, who preceded his wife in death on May 5, 2015.
Mrs. Carter was a retired loan officer from CNI Bank. She enjoyed sewing, gardening and cooking.
Mrs. Carter departed this life on Friday, Feb. 12, in Humboldt, Tennessee, at the age of 73 years, 7 months and 6 days.
She is survived by her daughter, Stacy Y. Sheffield and her husband Tim of Arlington, Tennessee; one grandson, Hunter Sheffield of Arlington, Tennessee; and one sister, Betty Wilson of Corinth, Mississippi.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by one brother, Billy Garrett.
Services were held on Tuesday, Feb. 16, at 1 p.m., at Saltillo United Methodist Church in Saltillo with Bobby Campbell officiating. Burial followed in Shady Grove Cemetery of Saltillo.
