Ottis Fowler

Ottis James Fowler, 59, of Morris Chapel, died Monday, May 2.

He was born in Huron, Calif., the son of Dorothy Redman Fowler and the late Arthur Fowler. He was united in marriage to Joyce McCain, who survives.

Mr. Fowler was a member of the Emmanuel Tabernacle Church in Stantonville, Tenn. He was a veteran of the United States Marine Corps where he obtained the rank of Sergeant.

Services will be held today, Thursday, May 5, at 1 p.m., at Emmanuel Tabernacle Church in Stantonville with Earl Wayne Day officiating. Burial will follow in the Emmanuel Tabernacle Church Cemetery at Stantonville.

He is survived by his wife Joyce Fowler of Morris Chapel; two daughters, Deloria Bartlett of Selmer and Renee Stepp of Selmer; a son, James Fowler of Escondido, Calif.; mother, Dorothy Redman Fowler of Adamsville; five grandchildren; and a sister, Ada Swanson of Temecula, Calif.

He was also preceded in death by a grandchild; and a sister, Jan Card.
