Paige (Robin) Dixon

Paige "Robin" Dixon was born Martin, Tenn., on Oct. 10, 1971, the son of Paige Robinson Dixon Sr. and the late Myrtle Bailey Dixon.

Mr. Dixon was the Assistant Attorney General for the State of Tennessee and was once employed with the Jackson Sun, Indianapolis Star and the Nashville Banner. He graduated from Vanderbilt Law School and received his undergraduate in journalism from Middle Tennessee State University. Mr. Dixon had authored a book and received many awards for writing throughout his life. He was a member of the Brook Hollow Baptist Church in Nashville, and had been a member of the Civil Air Patrol, the Boy Scouts, Hardin County High School marching band. He enjoyed watching sports and science fiction.

Mr. Dixon departed this life on Tuesday, Aug. 23, at the age of 39 years, 10 months, 13 days.

He is survived by his father, Paige Robinson Dixon Sr. of Savannah; two brothers, Richard Dixon of Clarksville, Tenn. and Tracy Dixon of Savannah; his fianceé, Jenny Emerson.

Services were held on Saturday, Aug. 27, at 1 p.m., at Shackelford Chapel in Savannah with Richard Dixon officiating. Burial followed in the Memory Gardens at Savannah.
