Phillip Tyler Phillip Donald Tyler, 79, of Adamsville, died Thursday, March 10. He was born in Crump, the son of the late Dennie Everett and Jewell Cora Phillips Tyler. He was united in marriage to Vera Elizabeth Schlatter, who survives. Mr. Tyler retired after 31 years from Caterpillar Inc. in E. Peroia, Ill. He was a United States Navy Veteran of the Korean War. He was a member of Crump Methodist Church. Services were held on Wednesday, March 16, at Shackelford Chapel in Savannah with Steve Webb officiating. Burial was in the Crump Cemetery. In addition to his wife, Vera of Crump, he is survived by two daughters, Annette Peugh of Morton, Ill. and Janine Chasco of Marquette Hts., Ill.; and one son, Mark Tyler of St. Louis, Mo.; two grandchildren, two great-grandchildren. He was also preceded in death by two brothers, Rayburn and Raymond Tyler; one sister, Imogene Carter; and one grandchild.
