Retha Majors

Retha Ann Arnett Majors, 77, died Monday, Sept. 3, at the Henderson Health and Rehab Center.

Mrs. Majors was one of seven children born to the late Walter Coleman and Mamie Lee Talley Arnett.

She attended schools in Hardin County and married Eugene Majors and they made their home at Cerro Gordo. They owned and operated Majors Farm Supply in Savannah and the business later moved to Crump. She later worked for Angelica Garment factory in Savannah. Mr. Majors preceded her in death in 1979. She continued to make her home at Cerro Gordo until she moved to the Chester County Health and Rehab Center. She was a member of Four Square Church at Savannah.

She was preceded in death by a daughter, Lawanna Majors Lott in 2011 and is survived by a son-in-law, Tony Lott of Finger.

Funeral services were held Wednesday, Sept. 5, at Shackelford Funeral Directors of Savannah and burial followed at Memory Gardens of Hardin County.
