Robert Bills

Robert Bills was born on Dec. 4, 1941, the son of the late Woodrow Wilson and Virginia Stevens Bills. On Dec. 4, 1960, he was united in marriage to Lois Reeves who survives.

Mr. Bills worked at Memphis Police Department and Firestone. He was the co-owner of Quality Tire and Service Center here in Savannah. Mr. Bills sponsored Hardin County Sports from 1991–2001. He was the Ambassador of the year in 1998. He also received the Sam Walton Business Leadership Award in 1998. Mr. Bills also received the Man of the Year Award in 2001. He was a member of Chamber of Commerce here in Savannah and Leadership for Hardin County Class of 1997.

Mr. Bills departed this life on Monday, July 16, at the age of 70 years, 7 months, 12 days.

He leaves to cherish his memories, his wife, Lois Bills of Savannah; two sons, Jimmy Bills and wife Elise of Savannah; Jeff Bills and wife Nancy of LaVerge, Tenn.; one daughter, Cindy Hastings and husband Jim of Little Rock, Ark.; three sisters, Joanne Brewer of Jackson, Tenn.; Peggy Brooks of Greenfield, Tenn. and Barbara Glancy of Carbon, Ind.; two brothers, Frank Bills of Savannah and Larry Bills of Lexington, Tenn.; nine grandchildren, Jeremy and wife Jessica, Josh, Jayson, Dustin, Faith, Brandi and Tiffany Bills, Jason and Jeffery Hastings; three great-grandchildren, Sidney, Lacey and Bradly.

Services were held on Friday, July 20, at 11 a.m., at Shackelford Chapel in Savannah with Randy Isbell officiating. Burial followed in the Memory Gardens at Savannah.
