Robert Delashmit (11-9-13) service 11-14-13

Robert “Bob” Delashmit, 76, of Counce, died on Saturday, Nov. 9, at Hardin Medical Center in Savannah. He was born in Shelby County, Tenn., the son of the late George Robert and Emma Hathcock Delashmit. He was united in marriage to Janice Marie Highland, who survives.

Mr. Delashmit worked for the Humko Company in Memphis. He was a member of the First Baptist Church in Counce and a member of the Elks Lodge of Savannah.

Services were held on Thursday, Nov. 14, at Munford Funeral Home in Munford, Tenn., with Jimmie McChristial officiating. Burial followed at Helen Crigger Cemetery in Munford, Tenn.

In addition to his wife, Janice of Counce, he is survived by his children, Mike Delashmit, MaDonna McClain and Tracy Delashmit, all of Scappoose, Ore., Priscilla Delashmit of Knoxville, Tenn.; stepson, Kevin Haynes of Counce; three sisters, Janet Dix of Counce, Debbie St. Clair of Boulder, Colo. and Betty Humphries of Lobelville, Tenn.; one brother, Larry Delashmit of  Fayetteville, Ark.; nine grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by grandparents, Hosie and Willie Hathcock and Robert Lorenzo and Etta  Mae Delashmit, and a sister, Sue Waits.
