Robert Kent (12-31-23) service 1-7-24

Robert Wayne Kent, 82, of Byhalia, Mississippi, passed away on Sunday, Dec. 31, the son of the late William Ed and Elizabeth Kent.

He was united in marriage to Katherine Gail Smith, who survives.

Robert graduated from Messick High School in Memphis, Tennessee in 1960. He worked as a truck driver for Landstar for over 30 years. He was a member of Cherokee Baptist Church in Memphis. He was also a 60 year member of the Masonic Lodge and a Shriner for over 50 years.

He is survived by his wife, Katherine Gail Kent; and sister, Janice Carter.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his stepmother, Lanora Kent; and his brother, Edwin Kent.

Memorial services were held on Monday, Jan. 7, at Shackelford Funeral Directors in Savannah, with Phil Bridges officiating. Burial followed at Lebanon Cemetery in Saltillo, Tennessee.
