Roy Fisher Roy "Jack" Fisher, 88, of Morris Chapel, died Monday, June 20, in Jackson, Tenn. He was born in Hardin County, the son of the late Gilbert and Mary Lee Fisher. He was united in marriage to Jessie Brown Fisher, who survives. Mr. Fisher was a shoe cutter for Brown Shoe Company for 19 years. He also worked for Marshall Funeral Home in Nashville and National Funeral Home formerly known as Memphis Funeral Home in Memphis. He was a United States Marine Veteran of World War II. He was a member of First Baptist Church in Savannah, and a member of the V.F.W. in Savannah. Services were held on Friday, June 24, at Shackelford Chapel in Savannah with Michael Roach officiating. Burial followed in the Memory Gardens at Savannah. In addition to his wife, Jessie of Morris Chapel, he is survived by one daughter, Kathy Fisher Powell of Dallas, Texas; two grandchildren. He was also preceded in death by three sisters, Artie Pate, Geneva Byles and Edith Fisher.
