Ruby Turnbow Sollis, 90, of Sardis, Tenn., died on Thursday, July 4, in Sardis, Tenn.
She was born in Wayne County, Tenn., on April 2, 1923 the daughter of the late Hugh and Ada Depriest Turnbow. She was united in marriage to Cleatus E. Sollis, who preceded her in death.
Mrs. Sollis was a homemaker and a babysitter. She was a member of Hinkle Baptist Church.
Services were held on Sunday, July 7, at 1 p.m. at Hinkle Baptist Church in Sardis, Tenn., with Carlos Hughes, Lloyd Blankenship and Robert Tinin officiating. Burial was in the Sardis Cemetery.
She is survived by her children, Susan Smith of Saltillo, Tenn., and Ronnie Sollis of Adamsville; four grandchildren; two step-grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren; two brothers, Leland Turnbow of Sardis, Tenn. and Homer Turnbow of Savannah.
In addition to her husband and parents she is preceded in  death by one son, Terry E. Sollis; three sisters, Nellie Barber, Lillian McGlaughlin and Altie Cohen; and four brothers, Harl, Richard, Roscoe and Clyde Turnbow.
