Sharon Eyer (8-29-11)

Sharon Eyer, 67, of Morris Chapel, died Monday, Aug. 29, in Savannah.

She was born in Detroit, Mich., the daughter of the late Fancis Buchan and Fae Ollie Elkins Peek. She was united in marriage to Charles Eyer, who survives.

Mrs. Eyer was self-employed in real estate staging. She also worked for several years as a social worker and director of social services. She initiated the domestic abuse program for the public defenders office in Bellingham, Wash.

In addition to her husband Charles of Morris Chapel, she is survived by one daughter, Eve Anne Eyer of Jacksonville, Fla.; two sisters, Carol Joan Duncanson of St. Paul, Minn. and Jasmine Phoenix of Duluth, Minn.

She was also preceded in death by her grandparents, Paul and Naomi Harmon.
