Shirley Raines (8-16-10) services 8-18-10

Shirley K. Wilkerson Raines, of Bartlett, Tenn., was born in Hardin County, on April 28, 1940, the daughter of the late Con and Edna Tidwell Wilkerson.

On Aug. 20, 1960, she was united in marriage to Roscoe Raines Jr., who survives.

Mrs. Raines was a homemaker and had previously worked for various dry cleaners. She had also worked from home doing alterations. Mrs. Raines loved singing, collecting angels and woodwork finishing. She was of Baptist belief.

Mrs. Raines departed this life on Sunday, Aug. 16, at the age of 70 years, 3 months, 19 days.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by a son, Terry Dale Raines of Olive Branch, Miss.; a daughter, Rhonda Kaye Raines of Milan, Tenn.; four grandchildren; three sisters, Connie Cole of Savannah, Artie Gaia of Olive Branch, Miss., and Wanda Hicks of Stantonville, Tenn.; four brothers, James, John C., Gary Wayne and Danny Joe Wilkerson, all of Savannah.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, R.C. Wilkerson and two infant sisters.

Services were held on Wednesday, Aug. 18, at 11 a.m., at Shackelford Chapel in Savannah, with Steve Webb officiating. Burial was in the Lebanon Cemetery at Michie.
