Susan Harris (5-19-10) services 5-23-10

Susan B. Harris, 52, of Savannah, died Wednesday, May 19.

She was the daughter of Felix Andrew (Jazz) Bailey and the late Clara Haynes. She was united in marriage to Cary L. Harris, who survives.

Susan was employed by Brown Shoe Company for 14 years. Later on in her life, she was employed as a customer service representative at Jones Motor Company and Ronnie Smith Chevrolet, respectively. Faith Pointe Church, Adamsville, was her home church.

In addition to her husband, Cary, she is survived by one daughter, Nicole Harris; her father, Felix (Jazz) Bailey of Savannah; three sisters, Carolyn Taylor of Savannah, Bobbie Robinson of Savannah, Myrtle Dixon of Murfreesboro, Tenn.; two brothers, Johnnie Bailey of Bowling Green, Ky. and Larry Bailey of Savannah.

She was also preceded in death by her grandmothers, Myrtle Bailey and Carrie Bowden Bell.

Services were held on Sunday, May 23, at Shackelford Chapel in Savannah with Rob Yanok officiating. Burial was in the Memory Gardens at Savannah.
