Thomas “Tom” Demery, 66, of Savannah, died on Tuesday, March 21, in Savannah.
He was born in Memphis, the son of the late Jasper Christopher and Christine George Demery. He was united in marriage to Leatrice Thompson, who survives.
Mr. Demery served his country in the United States Army, serving during the Vietnam War.  While living in Memphis he made eyeglasses.  After moving to Savannah, he worked for CCA in Clifton as a guard. He was of Catholic belief. 
In addition to his wife, Leatrice, he is survived by his stepchildren, Kevin Copous of Parsons, Tennessee and Rhonda Short of Savannah; four stepgrandchildren; and one stepgreat-grandchild.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Ronald George and George Demery; and three sisters, Helen Demery, Thelma Haley and Kathy Demery.
Services were held on Thursday, March 23, at Shackelford Chapel in Savannah with Robert House officiating. Burial followed in Corinth National Cemetery at Corinth, Mississippi.
