Vernon Joe Jones (11-18-10) services 11-20-10

Vernon Joe Jones, 82, of Fulton, Ky., died Thursday, Nov. 18.

He was born in Hardin County, the son of the late Dave Elmer and Lois Cammie Harmon Jones. He was united in marriage to Bonnie B. Stracener, who survives.

Mr. Jones was a edge trimmer for Brown Shoe Factory in Union City, Tenn. He was a member of Parkway Church of Christ in Fulton, Ky.

Services were held on Saturday, Nov. 20, at Shackelford Chapel in Savannah with Paul Briley officiating. Burial was in the Mt. Zion Cemetery at Hardin County.

In addition to his wife, Bonnie of Fulton, Ky., he is survived by one daughter, Charlotte Jones Wyatt of Murray, Kentucky; two sons, Danny Jones of Wentzfield, Mo. and Keaton Jones of St. Louis, Mo.; eight grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild; one brother, Louie Jones of Savannah.

He was also preceded in death by three sisters, Beatrice Bruce, Annie Claudine Parsons and Betty Collins; and one brother, Virgil Jones.
