Wallace Mitchell

Wallace Mitchell, 68, of Savannah, died on Wednesday, March 20.

He was born in Hardin County, the son of the late Walker and Florine Bratton Mitchell. He was united in marriage to Luley Sue McClain, who preceded him in death.

Mr. Mitchell was a carpenter and farmer by trade.

Services were held on Friday, March 22, at Shackelford Chapel in Savannah with Billy Mitchell, Ronnie Sanders officiating. Burial followed in the Wilkerson Cemetery at Savannah.

He is survived by his children, Becky Nguyen, Dennis Mitchell, Ronald Mitchell, Jeff Mitchell, Jonathan Mitchell, all of Savannah; eight grandchildren; one great-grandchild; brothers, Billy of Adamsville, Jim H. and Robert Joe Mitchell, both of Savannah; sisters, Evelyn Morris of Lutts, Tenn., Jerline Dodd of Savannah, Pauline Mitchell of Savannah.
