William Ross (7-7-10)

William "Sweet" Ross, 76, of Savannah, died Wednesday, July 7.

He was born in Savannah, the son of the late William Ulysses and Ada Goodlow Ross. He was united in marriage to Billie Gwen Yarbrough.

Mr. Ross is survived by his wife, Billie Gwen Yarbrough Ross of Savannah; two daughters, Meredith Gwen Ross Jones of Savannah, Jo Ann Yarbrough Pettigrew of Savannah; three sons, William Eulie Ross Jr. of Savannah, Peter Allen Ross of Clifton, Lee Antione Yarbrough of Memphis; two sisters, Mae Corrine Porter of Savannah, Rosie Lee Neal of Lawton, Okla.; and four grandchildren.

He was also preceded in death by a sister, Connie Burns; and seven brothers, Grady (Bud) Ross, Cecil Ross, Ernest "Mike" Ross, Eldridge Ross, Raymond Dillahunt, Frank Willie Lee Dillahunt, Henry Dillahunt.
