William Stricklin (3-11-12) service 3-13-12

William Rose Stricklin, 67, of Savannah, died Sunday, March 11, in Savannah.

He was born in Hardin County, the son of the late Roosevelt and Lina Shelby Stricklin. He was united in marriage to Linda Oakley, who survives.

Mr. Stricklin retired from Brown Shoe Company after 22 years. He was a member of Mountain View Church of Christ in Savannah.

A graveside service was held on Tuesday, March 13, at the Shady Hill Cemetery in Hardin County with Tracy Love officiating.

In addition to his wife Linda of Savannah, he is survived by one son, Wade Stricklin of Savannah; three grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; two sisters, Mattie Gammill and Lilly Wesson, both of Savannah; one brother, Herby Stricklin of Savannah.

He was also preceded in death by one brother, James Hardin.
