Albert Sidney McConnell, 80, of Savannah, passed away on Friday, Sept. 1, the son of the late Henry Ed and Bash Wilkerson McConnell.
He was united in marriage to Barbara Catherine Wesson, who survives.
Mr. McConnell retired from being a car salesman and truck driver. He owned a used car dealership in the Cerro Gordo Community for many years.
He is survived by his wife, Barbara McConnell of Savannah; two grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter, Jane Baker; and sons, Steve and Johnny McConnell.
Memorial services were held on Saturday, Sept. 5, at Shackelford Funeral Directors of Savannah, with Johnny Burns officiating. Burial followed at Memory Gardens in Savannah.
