Donna Sharon Bryant, 72, of Savannah, peacefully passed away on Saturday, June 29, at Hardin Medical Center in Savannah. She was born on May 21, 1952, in Champagne, Illinois, to the late Donald George and Robbie Dale White Knupp. Sharon led a life rich with love, family and cherished moments.
As a devoted homemaker, Sharon found joy in raising her family. She delighted in fishing, boating, camping and attending her children’s various sporting events. Her love for her family was evident in every aspect of her life. Later, Sharon dedicated several years of her professional life to Cross Country Manufacturing, where she made lasting contributions and friendships.
In her retirement, Sharon embraced her adventurous spirit with jaunts to Tunica and enjoyed Goodwill shopping trips with her daughters. An ardent fan of Alabama football, she proudly cheered “Roll Tide!” Sharon’s twilight years were filled with the simple pleasures of being an animal lover, an avid reader, and most importantly, a beloved Mother and Grammy.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Dennis Eugene Bryant; her brother, Robert Dale Knupp; and her sister, Elana Kay Kinney.
She leaves behind a legacy of love and devotion through her children: Chance Alan Bryant of Savannah; Dana Brown (Alan) of Shiloh; Amber Worley (Gary) of Murfreesboro; and Alicia McMeans (Jason) of Counce. Sharon was a cherished grandmother to Christopher Brown (Shea) of Drummonds, and Andrew and Emily Worley of Murfreesboro; and a doting great-grandmother to Addison and Kirby Brown of Drummonds.
Sharon’s family will hold a private service for immediate family on Wednesday, July 10. Her memory will forever live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.
