Ann Stricklin Abrams Bonar, 95, of Collingwood, Tennessee, better known as “Mama Annie”, passed away on Tuesday, Sept. 19. She was born on Feb. 6, in Lutts, Tennessee, to her late parents Ira Martin and Roxie Melson Stricklin.

Ann dedicated many years of her life to her career as a stitching supervisor at Uniroyal in Dublin, Georgia, before retiring. She was especially proud of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren and bragged about them to anyone she met.

Her faith was an important part of her life, and she was the oldest attending member of the Lutts Community Church. She found comfort and solace in her church family and cherished the friends she made there.

She is survived by her daughter Judy Steele of Lutts; son Harv Stricklin (Shawn) of Milford, Ohio; sister Bitsy Weatherford of Lutts; brother Sonny Stricklin (Ethel) of Iron City ,Tennessee; grandchildren, Jamie Steele (Katie) of Lutts, Kerry Steele (Mandi) of Millington, Tennessee, Kevin Steele (Kathleen) of Knoxville, Matt Stricklin (Samantha) of Milford, Ohio; great-grandchildren, Tuck Steele, Chase Steele, Wesley Jenkins, Makenna Jenkins and Kelly Steele; and several nieces and nephews.

Ann was preceded in death by her parents Ira Martin and Roxie Melson Stricklin; two beloved husbands, James L. Abrams and Lewis Bonar; son-in-law Bill Steele; great-grandchild Logan James Steele; her siblings, Waymon Morris, Frankie Abrams, Ester Stricklin, Linnie Pigg, Grace Horton and Nettie Faulkner.

Funeral services were held on Saturday, Sept. 23, at Shackelford Funeral Directors in Collinwood, with Chad Balentine officiating. Burial followed at Lutts Cemetery with the assistance of Shackelford Funeral Directors.

Pallbearers were Harv Stricklin, Jamie Steele, Kerry Steele, Kevin Steele, Randy Abrams and Sandy Abrams.
