Barbara Allen Wright Lewis, 78, of Savannah, passed away on Thursday, Jan. 12. She was born on Feb. 6, 1944, in Bristol, Tennessee, the daughter of the late Robert H. and Zelma E. Grubb Wright.

Mrs. Lewis was employed in the sewing industry for a total of 35 years throughout her life, including working as a seamstress for Cross-Country Apparel. She was a member of Living Word Fellowship in Savannah, and loved to spend time serving the Lord. She was an avid doll collector and enjoyed cooking, watching the news on television, and spending time with her family, especially her five grandchildren.

She is survived by her daughter, Gloria Wills and her husband Daniel of Savannah; son, Jamie Lewis and his wife Jacki of Savannah; brother, Bobby Wright and his wife Carol of Bristol, Virginia; sisters, Jane Campbell of Bristol, Virginia, and Betty Atkinson and her husband David of Columbia, South Carolina; and grandchildren, Cody Price and his wife Laura of Charleston, South Carolina and Marcus Lewis, Samuel Lewis, Cooper Briley and Alex Lewis, all of Savannah.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Fred Wright; and half sister, Joyce Fouch.

Services were held on Wednesday, Jan. 18, at Shackelford Funeral Directors of Savannah, with Ronnie Sanders officiating. Burial followed at Mt. Zion Cemetery in Savannah.
