Barbara Shubert (2-18-23) service 2-25-23

Barbara Ann Smith Shubert, 69, of Savannah, passed away on Saturday, Feb. 18, in Jackson, Tennessee. She was was born on July 28, 1953, in Hardin County, the daughter of the late Alvin Eugene and Bessie Benson Smith.

Ms. Shubert worked as a seamstress at Angelica Manufacturing for 20 years. She enjoyed cooking, sewing, and spending time with her family.

She is survived by her sons, Tim Shubert and his wife Trish of Savannah, and Dale Shubert of Destin, Florida; daughter, Brianna Wilkins of Savannah, and Brianna’s father, Jerome Wilkins of Glen, Mississippi; brother, Arthur Smith of Morris Chapel; sisters, Wanda Franks and her husband Howard, and Becky Lambert and her husband Dennis, all of Savannah; and grandchildren, Austin Shubert, Aiden Shubert and Dalton Shubert.

In addition to her parents, Barbara was preceded in death by her sisters, Mary Lou Franks and Betty O’Daniel; brothers, Alvin Smith and Garry Smith; and granddaughter, Harper Louanna.

Memorial services will be held on Saturday, Feb. 25, at 3 p.m., at Shackelford Funeral Directors of Savannah, with Jeff Crosswhite and Austin Shubert officiating. Burial will follow at Hollands Creek Cemetery in Savannah.
