Betty Sue Nance, 84, of Savannah, passed away on Monday, Sept. 25. She was born on Oct.4, 1938, in Wayne County, the daughter of the late Clarence Lee and Kate K. Evans Nance.

Betty was a homemaker. She loved reading, going to yard sales, being outside and talking with people. Her greatest joy was spending time with family and great grandchildren.

She is survived by her grandchildren, Kristen Meece and Dorris Stanfill; and great-grandchildren, Caidyn Meece, Cailee Meece and Jamiee Stanfill.

In addition to her parents, Betty was preceded in death by her daughter, Katie Sue Lineberry; sisters, Annie Nance and Mary Dockery; and brothers, Bobby Nance, Frankie Nance, Robert Nance, Michael Nance, John Nance and Neil Nance.

Memorial services will be held on Friday, Oct. 6, 11 a.m., at Shackelford Funeral Directors of Savannah, with Carter Carroll officiating. Burial will follow at Prater’s Chapel Cemetery in Clifton, Tennessee.
