Billy Wayne “Wild Bill” McMillen, 66, of Savannah, passed away on Thursday, April 23. He was born on March 6, 1957, in Savannah, the son of the late James Edward and Gladys Elise Haynes McMillen.

Mr. McMillen was a retired truck driver. He worked at South East Carriers in Lawrenceburg, Tennessee, for 20 years. He was a member of Hopewell Baptist Church. Bill was a hard worker and loved his grandson Jacob with all his heart. He loved being on the river and driving trucks. He really missed his soul mate after losing her last year.

He is survived by his son, Charles Craig McMillen of Savannah; daughter, Christina Michelle McMillen of Savannah; grandchildren, Hunter McMillen of Bonneville, Mississippi, Summer Madison Smith of Savannah, and Jacob Tyler Smith of Bethel Springs, Tennessee; nieces and nephews, Shelia Hopper, Bridget McMillen, Melissa Roland, Chris Hopper, Cellena Stephens and Bobby Dean McMilen; and several great nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by the love of his life, Pamela J. McMillen; sister, Margaret Ann Hopper; brothers, James McKinley McMillen, Robert Clifford McMillen and Ronald Dean McMIllen; and nephews that he loved dearly, Wesley McMillen, Randy Hopper and Tim Hopper.

Memorial services were held on Saturday, April 29, at Shackelford Funeral Directors of Savannah, with Darrell Moffett and Shelia Hopper officiating. Burial followed at Mt. Zion Cemetery in Savannah.
