Bobbie Jean House Boyd, 84, of Adamsville, passed away on Saturday, March 11. She was born on Feb. 7, 1939, in Lutts, Tennessee.

Mrs. Boyd graduated from Central High School in Savannah, in 1957. She worked at Sears in Memphis after high school, later at Savannah Manufacturing and various other shirt factories. Her last job was at Eyvonne’s Dress Shop in Selmer, which she truly loved. The last thirty six years of her life were hindered with the ever increasing effects and limitations of severe Rheumatoid Arthritis. Despite her physical limitations she enjoyed making trips to the mountains, day trips, shopping and spending time with her family. Perhaps the most enjoyable title she ever held was Nannie to her granddaughter, Bailey. She cherished all the time she spent with family.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Jennie Mae Moore House on July 10, 2002; her father, James Wilson House on March 29, 1991; and her husband, J.S. Boyd on August 8, 2019.

She is survived by a son, Joel Steven Boyd of Adamsville; granddaughter, Bailey Jewel Boyd of Jackson, Tennessee; and a host of relatives and close friends.

Memorial services were held on Tuesday, March 14, at First Baptist Church in Adamsville, with Phil Mitchell and Chad Ball officiating. Burial followed at Mars Hill Cemetery in Adamsville.
